Pendant using Mudra Stamps/ Picture Tutorial

Hello everyone,
Its Roshni here …. Today I have a very interesting project to share with you all …. When I got the MUDRA Botanical Blooms stamp collection in my DT kit I wanted to create something really different using these stamps … so what I made was this pendant …. But you can actually use it as any décor piece like wall hanging… car hanging …. Planner band, key chain etc, you can also make this in different sizes too…. I also have a tutorial for it. Here is a picture of the pendant I created.

Before I start I would like to mention that the packaging and quality of these stamps are awesome… it comes in a thick plastic packet to store your stamps in and the second thing I love about the packaging is  that the two transparent sheets that hold the stamps are stuck together…. I personally tend to lose my transparent sheets, being stick together would help it last longer <3

Now let’s start with the tutorial
The first thing I did was I took an old book page and stamping different layers to build the flower…I have used Distress Inks for all my stamping..  for the roses and buds I used Spun sugar as the base layer followed by Worn Lipstick and Fired Brick

For the filler flowers I used Salty Ocean and Mustard Seed and for the leaves I have used  Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters

When I was done creating my focal image I covered the imaged and splattered diluted Black Paint  around it …

Then I applied transparent packaging tape and covered the front and back of the image….
I made a frame using wire and hammered it to make it flat… then I poured a thin layer of resin just for the frame and paper to stick together and kept it aside to set for a couple of hours.... instead of resin you can also use Mod Podge Dimensional Magic

I trimmed the excess paper around the image added mica flakes and micro beads on the edges and poured some more resin on the top…. Let it aside to set for 12 hours and your cool customized neck piece will be ready ….. sharing a few more pictures :)

Hope you all liked my work and I was able to inspire you :)
This is my last post for Lulupu and I would like to thank Karuna for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the awesome team... it was a Wonderful  and enriching experience... sharing few of my favorite DT projects :)

One Stamp Set,Three Ways--Cutie Tweety By Mudra

Hello, friends !!

This is Jasleen here and it's my last post for Lulupu blog today. So my term ends this month and I'm wondering where did these six months go!! They just whizzed past too fast.

So, today I'm sharing three cards I made using a very cute Mudra stamp set- Cutie Tweety.

Here's the first one:-

For making this one, I started off by die-cutting a rectangular piece from the middle of the grey card base, and temporarily fitting a same-sized white die-cut rectangular piece in that space using a washi tape on the back side. This was to ensure that the paper remains stable while I stamp the birds on it. As you can see, the idea of the card was to show a contrast of a dull and a happy life( that you wish to live), that's why the spotlight coloring over those stamped images only, that are over the white CS. :) Used distress inks for colouring . The shrubs were first clear embossed and then stamped with black Archival ink to add depth.

Onto the second card now :-

The background of this card was made by clear embossing the tiny hearts from the stamp set over the upper half of the card base and then sponging a couple of distress inks in the shades of pink. Stamped a few heart images using the same inks over the lover half of the card. The bird and the bird house images were first stamped over a piece of water colour paper, coloured, fuzzy cut and then popped over the white panel using a 3D foam tape. The colouring of the images was done using distress inks here as well.

And here's the third one :-

For this one, I gave a light water colour wash to a Brustro water colour paper using distress inks. Then I die cut some letters to form  the word 'Tweet'. As the card shows, I wanted the letters to appear hanging with the help of a twine, with the little birdies  holding the other ends . I stacked the die cut letters in black and white colours to make them pop a little more.

So, this is the trio of cards I made using this very cute stamp set by Mudra- Cutie Tweety, which you can find in the Lulupu store HERE. There are many more Mudra stamp sets available in the lulupu store at present. This is the first time I tried these stamps and I love them. They are excellent in quality, give crisp images every time and the best part, they are made in in India and hence, quite a pocket-friendly option for all Indian crafters and stampers.

Before signing off, I would like to thank Karuna for giving me this opportunity to work as a DT member here and I must say, I tried so many new crafts here, some very different from my usual style , which I may not have attempted otherwise.  Thanks Karuna for all your encouragement and support and thank you Sucheta, Roshni, Nikita and Irma for being a great team. :)

Sharing a few of my favorite works I made during my DT tenure here :-

My first attempt at making an album. Made this using Papericious Ephemera papers, You can read the full post with more pictures HERE.

The above two cards were made using Altenew Hennah elements stamp set. For more details, click HERE.

That's all from my side. Thank you for visiting and leaving me your lovely comments. :)
Do not forget to link up your entries to our ongoing baby themed challenge for this month- Twinkle Twinkle little star.

Love,
Jasleen.

Hello people. I would like to thank the Lulupu Team for giving me this opportunity again. I hope you all like what I have created for GD post. Before we start, a little bit about me.

My name is Chirali Shah. I am a Chartered Accountant in practice by profession and crafting is my passion. So it is not my whole time job. But yes, Someday I would love to dedicate my everyday to crafting. I live with my family in Ahmedabad. As I have recently got engaged to an Chartered Accountant, a personality beyond words, now I am the luckiest to have a second such family which is as supportive as mine.

Before I got a Chartered degree, there was a high time when i badly wanted to do something that I love and by chance made a ring holder for sister's engagement, followed by birthday gifts for Jiju and a friend's sister. There I realised to make it professional. A friend's suggestion and family's support led me to step into this. As much as i explored, i found some people and blogs.

9. When not crafting , what keeps you busy?

My profession, movies and hanging out with friends.

10. What are you currently working on?

Currently i am working on a binding of a handmade diary.

So here is what I have created for my GD post, a Bird House along with pictorial.

Let’s start with tutorial:
For base of a house, take a paper of 15”x7.5” and score the same horizontally at 0.5””, 3.5”, 7.5”, 10.5” and 14.5”.

Score the same paper vertically at 0.5” and 3.5” and cut 3.5”x10” as shown below:

Cut the edges of 0.5” portions as shown in image to make a final box. Adhere all 0.5” portions to respective sides:

A final box will be of 4”x3”x4”:

To cover the house, take a paper of 4 7/8”x5 7/8”, score the same at 1” on all four sides, cut each 1” corner on one side and adhere to it’s next 1”:

Take a paper of 4”x3.5” and stick the same on above cover:

Now, rooftop of the house. Take two papers of 4.50”x2.50”, score the same horizontally at 0.5”, 2.25” and 4” and vertically at 0.5”. Then score to make a triangle from 2.25” to corner of vertical score of 0.5”. After that, cut almost 0.5” more than triangle score and cut the edges as shown in image. Adhere the same to cover of the box by tacky tape at vertical 0.5”score.

Take 6.25”x5” paper and score both the sides at 0.5” to perfectly stick the same on triangles keeping 0.5” scored lines outer than triangles as it is 0.5” wider on both the sides than triangles.

House is ready so now it’s time to make a base for house. Take a paper of 14.5”x6.5” and score the same at 1”, 7”, 8” and 14” horizontally and 0.5”, 1” vertically. Cut 1.5”x7.5” from vertical score and then stick the same as we did in base box of the house. You will  end up with 5”x6” box.

To make a drawer, take 7 5/8x6 5/8 paper, score the same at 1” on four sides and then same process as we did in cover of the house. I forgot to take a picture of it.

To make stairs, take a paper of 2.5”x4” and score the same at 0.5”, 1”,1.5” and 2” vertically and 0.5”, 1”, 3” and 3.5” horizontally. Then cut the same as shown in image, stick both the sides 0.5”x0.5” portions and one 0.5”x2” portion inside to make a 0.5”x2” box as a stair. Stick two such boxes with a small stripe so that it become a staircase and then adhere the upper stair  to drawer:

Final House:

Now start decorating it as you like. I have used Butterfly Garden stack of DCWV, some laces and flowers from my stash and a Gorjuss girl to complete the look. So here is mine:

Some close-ups:

If open:

I hope you enjoyed it. If any queries, feel free to ask. J

Thank you.

Chirali Shah.
